Id recommend getting the internal bluetooth, many people have had problems with usb dongles for osx, myself included. However I can't say for ubuntu, I've only had XP and osx on mine.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply, Would the same apply to a wireless adapter for wifi? Like a belkin Wireless g adapter? because when i read the dell outlet order its got listed as no WWan, so i am guessing i would need a usb adapter?

many thanks
Steve

No - WWAN is 3G (cellular). You are thinking of WLAN (wireless local area networking) - which is included on every Mini9.

I know this is an old topic, but I recently bought a nice USB Wireless N adapter that supports Windows, OS X and Linux. I wanted this because I like the Intel 5300 card I put in but it is Windows only. I don't boot OS X very often, so it wasn't a big deal to get a USB adapter for it. This one also supports Linux and works quite well.

I thought the Intel 5300 was well supported under Linux nowadays?

Sorry, right. The Intel card is also supported on Linux, but not by Mac OS.
