Default New Mini9 User Needs help - 03-19-2009, 12:37 AM

Hi I am a brand new mini9 owner, it just came in today. The main purpose I got this is for an EASY lightweight portable to take with me on jobs. I did not realize the linux system was not windows compatible and I have a cutting machine that attaches via USB and acts like a printer with blades instead of ink, basically. It is software driven though and requires the packaged program to run the printer. I am disappointed that there appears to be no way to load the software onto the mini9. Is this true or am I missing something and there is (PLEASE) someway around this roadblock. I cant believe i spent all that money on something that is completely USELESS for the purpose it was purchaed for. Thanks in advanced for ANY help you can give.... otherwise I feel I am just out all this money and cannot even use the computer for the reason i bought it.

It doesn't sound like you're familiar with Linux or Ubuntu, so I'm not sure suggesting trying your software out on Wine is going to be good advice. You might want to just return it and order a Windows Mini 9.
