Default 1.33 vs 1.6 - 03-17-2009, 11:32 PM

Is the 1.33 atom really THAT much slower then the 1.6? will it be noticable?

Well, it's .27 slower - about 20%. Will you notice? Depends on what you're doing. I will comment that reviews I have read of "ultra-mobile PCs" with processors of about that speed are generally termed "sluggish".

Hmm. So will this bottle-neck the Mini 12 at all? Do you know i if i can overclock it to 1.6 and it'd be the same? It's just I get my Mini 12 in 2 days and I've never used a netbook so I'm not quite sure what to expect :S

Overclocking is not a good idea as you can't add cooling. Whether or not it will impact you depends on what you want to do with it. The Mini 12 has what may be a faster graphics processor so this may make up for some of the CPU speed loss.

I suggest you ask in the Mini 12 section of the forum, or look to see what people are saying there.
