For those of you running windows, I stumbled across this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W1cHoU4R-E

It is step by step for installing a ram disk and making firefox 3 use it.

I disabled all BS windows services, did the cache trick, and I started watching Hulu right after I made my last post last night. It is very bearable now. I watched for 3.5 hours on battery over wifi. On high action it can still choke a little. For the Netflix issue, Go download the IE Tab plugin for firefox. This will allow you to launch IE in Firefox, which laughingly works much better than IE running by itself. Netflix is as bearable as hulu now. High action scenes and sharp cuts drop a few frames, but no more slide shows. WOO HOO. I will be upgrading to BIOS A05 shortly to see if it vanishes completely. VLC player 0.99 plays 720p flawlessly. Flash is just a resource hog... I will report back.

Used the flash removal tool http://www.yoism.org/flv/FilesForFixingFlashProblem.zip . Downloaded the flash player 9 dev pack http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/fl ... rchive.zip. Installed 9r159. Turned off updating http://www.macromedia.com/support/docum ... ger05.html . Bye bye the last little bit of jitters. Between the caching and this little trick, I am VERY pleased now. I am now installing macx 10.5.6 because i'm bored. I will report back on my luck with the jitters, I haven't really heard many problems with them on mac.
