Default Updating BIOS on ubuntu? - 03-12-2009, 09:08 PM

Trying to update (or at least make sure I have the latest) BIOS on a mini 9 w/ubuntu. There are 2 update files listed on the Dell sit (one is a Zip file and the other is a smaller .exe file). I have downloaded both of these (they go to the download Manager) but can't get them to install. Found instructions on the Dell site (somewhere) on how to use Terminal to install but the instructions were full of errors and couldn't get it to work. Not interested in learning ubuntu since I'm going to install OS X. My BIOS says I have A4. Is that the latest or do I need to update and if so could someone post some 101 instructions.
