REALLY.

Seriously though. Got it today. Played with it a bit in ubuntu and tested it a bit before loading ram and osxification following the gizmodo walkthrough and also this one newbier-type-11-install-instructions-t1850.html which was very helpful.

I'm still updating the OSX before doing the final updates, but all has been pretty smooth using straight disc / external drive method. I had to restart a step a few times, or reboot the external drive, but all worked. One step that messed with me a few times was when booting OSX the first time from the boot123 iso it hung 2 or 3 times.

Ubuntu actually is pretty peppy on it. The boot time is nothing. I'm excited to get it hoppin' on the OSX front though. Almost there!

Im thinkin of phoning Dell to give them some abuse I didnt mind the estimated date given in the email, unitl i told a friend the next day about em, and they ordered one soon after and already have theirs. I ordered mine 3rd march and they ordered theirs 5th march.. 9th march they get a phone call saying its coming next day, and there it was next day... is this some sort of joke on me by dell. Its the same spec mini 9, so is this some lucky dip as to who gets their order processed first?
Its wound me up

I ordered on the 27th and mine's still in the "build" stage

A Dell rep called me today to let me know that there had been a supply issue with the 4gb SSDs, but apparently they just got the drives in, so my Mini should be here in a week.

You`d think a big company like Dell would never run out of components..not like they are some pokey little shop banging out cheap pc`s...... or maybe they are..

I thought I was going to get over the wait issue by ordering from the Outlet. But I ordered on a Friday morning, so it didn't get to FedEx until this afternoon.

Now I have to wait until Thursday.

(I know I should be complaining compared to those of you that ordered new...)
