Default Integrated 10/100 LAN (RJ45) - 02-15-2009, 06:50 PM

What is an "Integrated 10/100 LAN (RJ45)" port? I am considering purchasing a Mini 9 and do not have wi-fi at home. Will this port allow me to plug in using the cable from my modem/router? Thanks!

It's an Ethernet jack. Yes, you can run an Ethernet cable from your router to the Mini - it will work just fine.

It means that you can connect the mini 9 to a wired network. The RJ45 is the standard plug/socket for networking. 10/100 is the speed of the network.

But more importantly it means that yes, you can connect it to the router/modem, if you normally connect using a standard network cable.

Thank you holmes4 and Paul for your prompt, informative responses. Based in part on your information, I ordered a mini yetserday. Your information is much appreciated!
