I purchased a Dell Mini 9 with Ubuntu 8.04. I am trying to connect to the internet with my Verizon USB 720 modem. I found and followed instructions for setting up Gnome PPP. When I connect using PPP and the green light on the modem blinks, it appears to connect, but I am not able to connect to the internet when I open the browser. I have never used Ubuntu or Linux before. What am I missing? |
