Default Woohoo box at my door - 02-04-2009, 02:35 AM

Hello everyone,
Been a troll for a few weeks and finally broke down and purchased my new (refurb) Mini9. Up and running well, writing this on her now. No mods or anything yet. May have to bump up to 2gb and pick up a sd card for additional space. Only thing that surprises me is how warm the darn thing gets. Either way specs are below and I look forward to participating on the forum.

Dell Mini 9 (refurb)
Black
Windows XP (might try Windows 7 for the fun of it)
1gb ram
16gb ssd
bluetooth
1.3 webcam
$270.83 + tax

Thanks
Friar_Nurgle

Regards
Friar Nurgle

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy it here.

If it is not getting SUPER hot then I would not concern yourself with it however, if it seems that the heat is a little unbearable take a look here what others have to say. http://mydellmini.com/forum/when-is-...ot--t1995.html

Thanks a bunch Phoenix. Funny, I was just reading through that post. Seems, there is nothing to worry about. Been running for close to 5 hours downloading updates, installing programs, watching Hulu and surfin at 43c... granted I was using a meat thermometer just shoved under hottest part of the bottom. So no worries. Back to watching Hulu. Cya :P

Windows 7 runs great on the mini. I have moved on to OSX now though. The mini 9 is a blast. Make an image of your current set up and install Windows 7. Then you can always go back.

I love the feelings of coming home from work and seeing a package waiting for me on the porch
