By the sounds of it you just want something as big as possible.

The mini takes SD cards anything over 2GB will be marked as a SDHC. All the cards have class ratings. The higher the class the faster it is. Class 6 is the highest you can get so far.

SDHC 4gb is the best. With this mini, you can enjoy bunch of audio, video, and music files. I've been using it for a year already.

You can get as high as 32GB in SDHC, but that is very expensive. 16GB cards are available for under $30.

I'd go for a 16GB SDHC card for the most storage for the least amount of cash. A class 6 card is around £17 in the UK.

Also don't go plunking down too much cash on a really fast specialized photography SDHC card, IIRC our little slot tops out at 12.5mpbs which is double the class 6 standard, but not up to the speeds of the really fast cards for pro photographers.

Interesting info ... do you remember where you read this? I'm glad I didn't buy a Sandisk Extreme III.

I'm pretty sure holmes4 has the source on that card reader info.

Nope - not me. Never saw that before.

I have not seen SDHC cards that are "too fast" for the Mini 9. The very fast cards you see photographers use are usually CF.

Hmm could have sworn. But I know for a fact I saw it on here somewhere...

EDIT: Found it, attributed to UnaClocker: sd-card-classes-p17395.html

12.5megs is the top
