Default Restore partition on Ubuntu Mini 9? - 01-26-2009, 01:34 PM

I just got my mini 9 with the 8 gb drive, I only have 4.2 gigs of free space. I am pretty sure a typical ubuntu install does not use over 3 gb. So is there a restore partition like every other factory Dell in existence?

Do people even read the posts they reply to?

Anyways I do so I'll answer the question you asked as opposed to what I'm guessing they're asking.

No there is no restore partition. All restore materials are on the DVD. The space you are seeing is normal for the 8 gig

Netbooks -> Mini 9 - 2gb Gskill low latency - Ubuntu 8.04
Asus Eee 701 4g - 1gb - Ubuntu 8.04.1
Desktops -> Phenom Quad @ 2.8 - 16gb - 4x Raptor X in RAID 0 - 2x 4870X2
Brisbane 1.9 @ 2.7 - 4gb - 80gb
Many others, all Linux.
