Default A New to me Mini 9 - 01-21-2013, 05:40 PM

Greetings. I will describe my 'new' mini 9.

O.S. Ubuntu 10.04 32 bit desktop.
Ram HYNIX 1 GB 2R x 16
Ericsson KM266.Dell wireless 5530 rev A00 no SIM
Broadcom BMC 94312mcg working
Bluetooth working
Internal,external microphones. working
Battery Dell 22 wh. 30 min use at the best.

My first question is about BIOS A00 04/09/2008
I see the latest is A07 06/05/2011
As it is all working should I leave the BIOS as is.

Second question. To U.K. Members.
Do you have a Pay As You Go SIM card / plan that works.
I have a FON 220 and so a BT/FON account.
The Dell locks into the BT Wi/fi net just fine.
So is 3g usefull, on a mini 9. Opinions welcomed.

Testing a 16 ebay 8 cell battery, at the moment.
Hope to keep a log of its life.

Thank you Worge.

Since it is working fine with the current BIOS, I would leave it alone. While I have never had a problem updating others have.

Iswartz, thank you for your answer.
It's working dont't fix it, with a BIOS is also my opinion.
I am still gleaning knowledge from the forum, and so will lurk in the background until I can give a reasonable answer to a discussion of the mini 9.
