Default Mini 1010 boot problems - 08-28-2012, 11:53 AM

I have a Mini 1010, running XP, 1 Gb RAM. Working fine until trying to start it yesterday - white light is on, no screen back light, no POST beeps, no boot-up.

Tried removing battery and starting from mains adapter, also tried starting with FN key held down, then removing FN key - still no boot-up or POST.

Any advice or suggestions on how to proceed, before I start looking at dismantling and looking for hardware issues?

Thanks in advance/Paul

if you have another hard drive (the Mini's take a standard 2.5 SATA drive, like most laptops), try to swap drives, 3 screws on the bottom remove the keyboard, the HD is under the keyboard, takes like 5 minutes to do it...
