Default 10v SATA bandwidth - someone must know? - 12-11-2010, 04:27 AM

There is some suggestion that the 1010 has a cheap pata to sata bridge that limits bandwidth significantly but that this is not the case with the 1011.

In my experience with ssds (barefoot and sandforce (latest firmware)) my 10v beneftis very little wich seems inexplicable if the sata is the full 1.5 - any ideas?

What speeds do you see? I expect it should be able to get real world speeds well above 100Mbyte/s. Well below the 250Mbyte/s or 350Mbyte/s that a fast SSD gets, but still fast enough to appreciate the difference between an SSD and a hard drive.
