i was told by a dell sales person that i needed to upgrade my ram to 2gb in order to run windows 7 on my 10v, is this true? thanks is win 7 worth it or should i just keep my xp os |

Is 2GB required? No. Will it help? Yes. Yes, Win7 is worth it. You can buy a 2GB RAM stick for around $40-$50. Mini 9|2GB RAM|64GB RunCore|Intel 5300|Windows 8 |

You can definitely run it on 1GB of RAM, and in fact, I'd try it out like that first and then decide or upgrade it. Reason being is you need to disassemble the entire netbook to get to the RAM slot. D:\duo\320GBHD\2GBRAM\W8DP |

1gb is fine for Win 7, I dual boot Win XP Pro and Win 7 Ult and they both run fine..would 2gb be better? of course but 1gb will get the job done....of course they are gonna tell you to get 2gb thats what a salesman does is SELL, but as previously mentioned judge for yourself, if you are gonna run OSX then get the 2gb otherwise I think that you will be ok with 1gb....  PS. Welcome to the forum....  |
