Default Mb a dumb question But here goes... - 07-06-2010, 11:54 PM

Hello Everyone my first post, So go easy on me please.
I am wanting to buy a netbook that I can put snow leopard on.
Everyone one is saying the mini 10v is the one to get.
So I went to the google to track one down. Even to the Dell web site to see which one is the 10v. And I just cant seem to work it out.
So I need help please, becuase I don't want to buy the wrong one. Becuase the only reason I am buying a dell mini 10 is so I can put on snow leopard.
I live in Australia and we have a store called JB Hi FI and they are selling this model so can some one please tell me if this will work to run snow Leopard.
Dell Mini 10" Tiger Netbook - Computer, Laptop, Notebook & Netbook Computers - JB Hi-Fi

Thankyou so much in advance for your help

according to your link, that model is the 1010 (Mini 10), it has the Z530 processor in it which makes it a 1010 (Mini 10), not a 1011 (Mini 10v), the 1011 (Mini 10v) is what you want to run OSX, they have the N270 or N280 processors in them..thats what to look for in addition they also have the GMA950 graphics chipsets in them, the 1010 (Mini 10) has the GMA500 and the 1012 (New Mini 10) has the GMA3150, the 1011 (Mini 10v) has the GMA950 in it and thats the one you want...look in the for sale section on this forum...they do pop up quite often....Good Luck...

PS. Welcome to the forum.....
