Default VGA connector - 05-26-2010, 10:18 AM

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has come across a smaller than normal VGA connector for a netbook. I have the usual bulky end connection, (which works well enough), but it's a clumsy looking affair when on my little Dell Mini 9

Searching for "slim vga cable" gives a couple possibilities.

Mini 9 | Intel 5100 Wifi | Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook
Mini 1012 | SSD | Intel 6200 Wifi | Ubuntu 11.10 64bit

Hi, thanks, but they're not really what I'm after. Why isn't there a neat little plug for The Mini to connect to a monitor?

Because the chipset in the Mini 9 supports VGA only. Also, a lot of monitors and projectors support VGA and not anything "smaller" (such as HDMI or DisplayPort.)

O.k. thank you. On the VGA plug there is a screw fastener on each side, which of course is useless connecting to the Mini9, do you think it's o.k. to cut the sides off this plug, getting rid of these fasteners?..
