Default Got my Mini - 04-16-2010, 03:27 AM

Okay - got my mini today. Really like it so far. Now, for the noob questions! I have the mini 10 1010 and I know I need to update the driver for the GMA 500 (and please excuse me if this is in the wrong place!!), but I'm kinda clueless. . . can someone point me in the direction of easy, step-by-step directions. I can get it dl'd no prob, just not sure what to do with the zip file. Unzip (extract all files) and then?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome.

The newest Windows drivers should be available from Intel with installation instructions. Look here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Sear...01&FamilyId=39, then pick the newest driver for your OS: XP, Vista, or 7.

Well, I did d/l the latest driver and got it installed. Hulu vids seem to play MUCH more smoothly, but I think that's just the low res ones. When I try to watch the 480p, I get lines across the screen (like in the olden days of analog tv when the channel wasn't tuned in properly). Can't seem to figure it out. I also installed the lastest Flash 10.1 and that def helped my Farmville play (LOL). I have not installed a codec pak yet. Would love some suggestions on a good one. I want to get this set so that I can use the hdmi out to a TV -- doesn't have to be the bestest, highest 1080p -- I'd settle for DVD quality. Hopefully I can get it there.

Thanks!

Agree with the k-lite pack I use it on all of my computers. Also, go for the Flash 10.1 while youre at it. It seems to help the mini's with flash.
