Default Wlan wpa authentication problem - 04-15-2010, 02:52 PM

Hi there

I am unable to connect the router through wpa or any other authentication methods. When trying it, "searching for network address" (or similar) is displayed and nothing happens. No IP address received.
It only works well with open router.

Mini 1011
Win XP SP2

Thx for any help or link to the solution

This sounds like an issue between your Mini and your router. Your router is not assigning an IP address. I had this issue with the stock Broadcom card in my Mini 9 and an Actiontec router - changing the wireless card (or the router) solved the problem.

Does the Mini claim that it is "associated" with the router? Does it work with someone else's router?

I've checked the Mini with another router, and they worked well. My router is either faulty or I did some mistake when setting it. Anyway, it is gonna be replaced because of changing to FTTH.
