I've been reading through FAQs and stickied topics but can't seem to find a straight answer. There is a lot of talk about touchpad drivers but people don't seem to be clear when they are talking about OS X vs Windows.

I installed Windows 7 and added the Synaptlics driver pointed to by one post. This was giving me the crazy jumps all over the place. I think what I am looking for is a way to allow vertical scroll along the right side, and click and drag functionality with the left button. Also, a way to disable movement along the bottom so that the buttons ONLY click would be nice. (right now, when I click either button, I end up scrolling a bit before I click and end up clicking the wrong thing).

I am also open to trying out multi-touch but have never used it before and was not sure which drivers to use for W7, and also whether or not this really worked on the 10v. I like the 10v so far - just hoping to figure out how to use the touchpad better. Thanks!

if you are using the original touchpad utility, doing a right click brings up all kinds of options

Use the latest driver at Scrybe, t will give you everything you want. Now, I can tap (not click) on the right bottom corner to right-click, tap on the left bottom corner to middle click, use 2 fingers scrolling and 1 fingers scrolling. That's so good

Use ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47501-48000/sp47815.exe - this works great for me.
