Smile Questions before ordering a 10v - 03-18-2010, 06:12 AM

Hey guys, first post here. I've been looking for a netbook the past couple weeks and stumbled across this site and discovered that the 10v is apparently really good for Hackintoshing. I'm really interested in doing this but I have a few questions before I order one

1. Can I do it with my laptop with Vista? I do not have access to any Mac computer
2. Is battery life better/worse with OSX as opposed to Win7/XP?
3. Does wifi work out of the box or is that something I need to replace?
4. Is upgrading RAM too difficult?
5. Is it difficult or annoying to travel with, with the battery jutting out of the bottom? lol

Thanks

1. Yes. See the OS X section of the forum.
2. Worse than Win7
3. Yes, if you use the standard WiFi adapter
4. It is tricky.
5. Can't comment.

Hi rootbeersoup, and welcome to the Forum.

If you are thinking of purchasing a Mini 10v for Hackintoshing, I wouldn't leave it too long, as they are becoming increasingly harder to get hold of, as other members have already posted.

You do not say which country you will be ordering from though, as availability does seem to vary from place to place.

Good Luck!
