Welcome.

Yes, that should work. The 10v uses 2.5" form factor, 9.5mm tall, SATA interface drives. Just like 98% of modern laptops.

Thats the exact drive I have in my Mini 10 (1010), great drive, will fit in your Mini w/no problem..took me about 5 minutes to put in, only I got mine from Dell last July like 3 days after I got the 1010, I paid $89, so $69 is a good price, I am thinking of getting rid of mine and buying a 640gb...maybe just keep this one has a backup drive to store data on....anyway good luck and Welcome to the forum...

EDIT: 02/19/10 - Drive is back to $89..same as Dell....hope you got yours for $69......

thanks, I bookmarked it, if you got the cash you might as well get the 2gb, I dont have a choice with the 1010, until they start selling the daughterboard....right now they want $554 for the board and I aint paying that so for now Im stuck with 1gb..but you..I would go for it...

PS. I havent noticed any temperature change at all

PSS. you have all the parts you need already, just pull out the old one and pop in the new one..

Bare drives (OEM drives) are usually missing documentation, cables, screws and pretty packaging. Warranty coverage can be limited, too.

But retail laptop drives don't come with screws or cables, so you're not missing any necessary parts.

It doesn't have "open" platters. Hard drives are frequently pictured with the cover removed 'cause it looks cool. But you'd never want to use a drive like that (unless it was destined for the scrap heap anyway ).

Windows doesn't need to be loaded prior to OSX.
