Was this on the WRT54G wireless router? Ended up flashing DD-WRT opensource firmware onto a WRT-600N dual band draft-N router and have much more features and improved performance over the stock Linksys firmware including OpenVPN! :mrgreen:

The process for each brand varies, but typically you go to the manufacturer's web site (, etc.), find the support page for your model router and see if there is a firmware update for it. Follow the instructions given there.
