Default New Mini Owner - 12-19-2008, 05:15 PM

Hey all,

I have already made a few posts, but thought I would head over here anyway. I got my mini in the mail yesterday and I love it. Its a bit smaller than I expected which is kind of nice actually. I ordered it with dellbuntu, 512ram, 16gb ssd, bt and 1.3webcam. Ordered my 2gb ram from newegg, installed it, flashed BIOS to A03, and wiped dellbuntu in lou of xp pro. I have cisco vpn, ultra vnc, teamviewer, hamachi, office 03, symantec corp anti virus and some other basic apps on here. After defrag and reg tweaks this little guy moves pretty well. I am using it mainly for remote access on the road to my clients and my main pc at home. I am also going to install Eve classic graphics install on here to see how it runs on this. i'll keep you posted and update the games that run list. Looking to do some mods in the future, should be good times. Glad to be apart of the community.

Defrag is not only useless on SSD, it's also not recommended.

Take a look in the forum to find why.

Saludos!

It isn't entirely useless, it is just differently useful.

Take a look in the forum to find out why you won't wear out your SSD in your lifetime too.
