Your PC being 64-bit is no impediment to creating a bootable USB drive. I have done this on my Win7 x64 system several times already. Here are the instructions I typically use:

* Open a command line (under one of the menu options)
* Run the diskpart command line app. (Type: diskpart)

Enter the rest one after the other (don't type the *):

* list disk, to find the drive number of your usb stick.
* select disk #, to select the usb disk (put the number you found in the previous step in place of the # – be absolutely certain you have the right number!)
* clean
* create partition primary
* select partition 1
* active
* format fs=fat32
* assign
* exit

Now copy the contents of your bootable CD (or whatever) to the USB drive.
