Default Wireless Connectivity. Help! - 11-23-2009, 09:05 PM

Hello all. I'm looking to get a Netbook of some kind, mainly for recreational use. I am a student who goes to college, and have been looking around for a while but can't tell if on any of the Netbooks i've found whether I will be able to connect to the internet (Wi-fi) if I'm in an area where the Wi-fi is open, or I have the password. The Mini-Dells on this website have something with a very complicated name (half mini card or something) and I wasnt sure if it was what I was looking for. If I bought a Dell Mini, would I be able to connect to the internet and surf for as long as I want for free? Or will I have to buy something which will allow me to do this?
Any answers will be hugely appreciated....and fast answers will be even greater! Sorry if I dont make sense with what I am asking, I literally just registered to this site!

No catch. Just simply put. All the Dell netbooks include a WiFi card. I think most are b/g only. I have not looked to see if any can be configured to have the b/g/n card instead.
