Default No CPU fan on a90 OSX 10.6.1 - 10-31-2009, 01:50 AM

Installed OSX 10.6.1 with NBI 0.8.3 rc3 on an a90 with dell 16GB SSD without any hitch. Two problems remain...
1) Sleep is not functional (But I'm sure I can fix with all of the guides and fixes around...)
2) My fan underneath the a90 will not turn on. No matter how hot the computer gets, the fan will not function as it did when I was originally running Ubuntu. *THIS* is my main concern... I'm not worried about a sleep disfunction, I'm worried the machine will overheat... I tried the Mac fan utility with my fingers crossed, not anticipating positive results, and the program was unable to throttle the fan whatsoever...

Any ideas? Sorry if a solution has already been found. I was unsuccessful in my search.

I thought the A90, like the Mini 9, doesn't have a fan.

The fan is only a feature of Ubuntu, , I bet if you opened up it wouldn't even be there. Try reinstalling Ubuntu, make sure the fan is back, then verify it's operational.

I could almost swear it did run when I had Ubuntu installed, but I may be wrong... The machine has all of the slots and "ducts" for are movement, I can even blow air through the slots, but I suppose it could stay functional without the fan as it has the past couple of days. I only worry because it gets very hot. Thanks for the responses.

There is no fan in the A90. The only moving parts are the keyboard and power buttons.
