Default Enlarge screen size? - 09-13-2009, 08:04 PM

Hi,

I'm new to this and wondered if there is a way to configure my new Mini 10 so that I don't have to constantly scroll down to read web pages...even if the print is shrunken...or remove toolbars? What do others do?

What OS are you running?

Depending on the web browser, you may be able to shrink the page and/or text to fit more in the available space. Control + and - will change the size in both Chrome and Firefox.

Go to 'view' [in Firefox or IE or SRWare Iron] and select 'zoom out'.
The Mini 10 has an odd resolution with the default screen [as all netbooks do ... well, most netbooks], so it may be awkward either way.

Received lowest quality mini 9 with 512 megs RAM, 4 GB SSD. Additions:
-2 GB RAM
-4 GB SSD [2 GB SD Card: getting 16 GB SDHC]
Sold for $180 so I could buy Mini 10, XP/Ubuntu, 160GB HD, 1GB RAM, 1366x768 screen, 6-cell for $260.
[Extra screen space IS AMAZING, as is having a working keyboard]

You may want to try changing the Windows DPI to normal size. This is on of the first thinks I did as well as the icon sizes.

Follow this link for the DPI
Change DPI Settings in Windows XP

Icon size change
Change Desktop Icon Size Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7

this may help you.
