Default How to Detect Partition Error - 11-29-2008, 06:50 AM

So I finally got my Mini 9 today and spent the evening trying it out and installing a few apps, I'm very happy with it! I've read that there's been quite a number of 8/16 gig minis shipped with a disk partition error, and since I have the 8 gig model, I just wanted to make sure that doesn't affect me (or if it does, fix it). Is there a quick and easy way to check? I'm new at Linux, but have a bit of practise typing things into the terminal from past exploits (I mostly don't know what I"m typing though!). I checked with the visual disk space app (the proper name escapes me) and it gave me a total disk space of 13 point something gigs (odd).

Thanks very much!
