Default Ubuntu 8.04 bluetooth - 09-04-2009, 02:14 AM

I'm new to Ubuntu, so have patience with me. On my newly purchased Mini 9 I get this message when I try to enable the bluetooth connection: "Couldn't display "obex://[00:13:E0:81:6E:05]/". What does this mean, and how can I make the necessary corrections? Please help!

Default Will this fix incompatibility? - 09-05-2009, 07:15 PM

Hi... tiltiver, can you please clarify what the command you provided will do?

I am trying to connect my Palm Pre with my Mini9 via bluetooth, and I get the same error as carbon unit did.

But upon calling Palm Pre tech help they said that the Pre doesn't currently support OBEX ()...

Will the command you provided overcome this limitation and enable the Mini9 to see my Pre, or does it just enable OBEX on the Mini9?

Thanks for any info, I am pretty new to this so I was hoping to get some details prior to running the command.

It installs software that enables file transfers over Bluetooth. I don't know if that's your problem, but it might be. You will probably need to be on the Internet when you do this.

Thanks for the info... I am indeed trying to transfer files over Bluetooth, so hopefully this will do the trick!

I will stop back by to post on the success of this with the Pre...

Thanks again... DL
