Default SSD size - 09-02-2009, 04:35 PM

Can anyone tell me how i can determine how big the SSD is in my machine ... I want to determine if any space is unpartitioned.

I'd use "sudo fdisk -l" in a terminal. The first line of the output will look like this: "Disk /dev/sda: 3791 MB, 3791241216 bytes"

Here's the explanation of the command. "sudo" = run with superuser/root privileges, "fdisk" = drive partitioning tool, "-l" = ask fdisk for a list of the partition tables on known devices ("/dev/sda" should be the onboard SSD)
