Question New to the site and have questions! - 08-29-2009, 02:36 AM

Hey Everybody,
Hi I am new to the site and not really amazing with computers. I love my imac but I need a cheap small mac that doesn't exsist. So I wana make a dell mini 10 (i dont know which one to get v or no v) work with mac os x. I have a copy of leopard version 10.5.1 family pack. What is the easiest way to make this work. Ive looked at some of the guides but I am not 100% sure what to do. I anyone can help that would be great!
-Thanks

has to be either a 9 or a 10v. any of the guides here are easy enough, as long as you follow it to the T.

Go read the threads and guides in the OS X section of this forum. Lots of good information there.

Welcome to MyDellMini

You need a 10v, not a Mini 10!

Have you read any of the guides or threads in the Mini10 section? Many of them indicate how hard it is to upgrade hardware on the 10v. Since you've indicated you are not too computer literate, order a maxed out model.

I would recommend the base package because it will be the cheapest and it will still be able to suit your needs performance-wise.

My 10v has 1Gb RAM and a standard HDD and runs OSX amazingly!

I agree, go with the cheapest package if you never want to, or need to, upgrade your Mini.
