Default Ram upgrade on mini 10v - 08-26-2009, 03:39 PM

I have not even received my mini yet, ordered with the 15% off this last weekend from depot, but wanted to ask about ugrading the ram.

Is it possible?

How hard is it? (I am reasonably knowledgable in pc upgrades but never on a laptop)

How much does it cost and what type is best?

Thanks in advance,
t

There's a link around here where I did some videos on YouTube of the upgrade. It's not difficult (to me), but you need to be careful. It involves pulling the system board out.

I found that cheaper RAM (like OCZ) tends to get hotter than more quality RAM (ie, sadly more expensive...). Datamem.com has a stick for $32 that I've been running relatively cool, where some OCZ I picked up from amazon gets wicked warm.
