Default mini with xp, how to install ubuntu - 07-31-2009, 04:14 PM

I orderder a 8 gigabytes mini, how can I install Ubuntu (sorry noob question). where can i dl the drivers?

You can get the latest version of Ubuntu (9.04) here:
Download Ubuntu | Ubuntu

Or you can get the Dell version from here:
Ubuntu 9.04 - DellLinuxWiki

Look around the Ubuntu section of this site for recommendations. In my use, 9.04 Desktop runs better than the Netbook Remix version (and better than either versions of 8.04 or 8.10). The nice thing about Ubuntu is all the drivers are already there. Run the install disk and the next thing you know, it's up and running (for the most part).
