Default Vostro A90 Does it have bottom access to RAM? - 07-28-2009, 08:10 AM

It has the Intel Atom Processor N270 (1.6GHz/533Mhz FSB/512K cache) which I believe is the same as 10v, which requires disassembly to access the RAM card.

My Vostro A90 took 20 seconds to upgrade the RAM. I already had the screws out of the bottom panel though. Pop it off, pop out old stick, insert new stick, pop cover back on. It's the most accessible memory I've ever had the pleasure to upgrade.

Vostro A90 is pretty much identical to the Mini 9. One little access cover and you are in. It's not like the Mini 10v in that regards.

"Vostro A90 is pretty much identical to the Mini 9"

Other than bottom access port, smaller 8 or 16 GB solid state drive (no moving parts and possibly more vibration resistant, what are the other significant differences?

The Vostro A90 and Mini 9 are identical other than cosmetics. All internal components are the same (and have the same configuration options.) Both have SSDs only.

What holmes said. Maybe different offering options at the point of sale, but that would be the extent of it other than the cosmetics.
