Default Benefit of 3g on mini 9. - 07-24-2009, 12:30 AM

explain it to me please. Why do I want this? I am currently rocking a $180.00 craigslist mini 9. 2gb ram and 16gb ssd. I also some how managed to get osx up and running. updated and everything. I am fascinated. But how the holy fack to keep the fingerprints off yours?

You would want 3G if you would like to access the Internet from anywhere you have a cellular signal, rather than relying on WiFi hotspots. Using this feature typically requires an extra-cost plan from your cellular carrier.

Many WinMo phones can run as modems or wifi hotspots over 3g, allowing you a 3g connection without an extra 3g card. To make this compliant with your cellular service provider's terms and contracts you will likely pay another $30-$45 a month. The dominant program for this purpose is WMWifi, but one cell phone hardware provider (HTC?) just released its own wifi-3g program as well.
