Default installing new operating systems on my insiron mini - 07-14-2009, 06:52 PM

could anybody tell me what the easiest way to install the operating system back onto a inspiron mini that wont start up and can only go into the boot options screen?

You probably should find out first whether or not the SSD is working. I would grab a copy of GParted and boot it from an external CD-ROM or USB stick and see if it can read the partition table and drive structure.

After that the easiest OS install would be a tossup between Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.04 from a USB stick.

What OS? Windows XP? Ubuntu? OSX?
