Default Hello! - 07-10-2009, 05:47 AM

I just got a Dell Mini 10.

Is this a good netbook?

Any tips/pointers for a first time netbook owner?

Thanks!

Hi Brandon!

Welcome to the forum! Depending on which version of the Mini 10 you have, will indicate what exactly you can and can't do with your new netbook. As for it being a "good" netbook ... this all depends on how you intend to use it, sir. There are some great sources of experience here on the forums to help you shape that opinion.

Click on the word FORUM above and check out the Mini 10 section for some testimony and information.

Cheers!

Kevin

That is correct...no HDMI=Mini10(v) v stands for value!

The 10v can be hackintoshed, with some issues. See the Mac OS forum for details.

As for "better" - it all depends on what you want it for.

Urs 10V:
powerful graphic card
mac osx
cheaper body parts (plastic)
bigger cpu
more heat
small screen
VGA
cheaper

the 10:
better battery life
newer with more feature graphic card
mag alloy body
small cpu
less heat
bigger screen
hdmi
more expensive

there's more but it's a few.
