Lightbulb New M11x BIOS (A03) - 05-27-2010, 02:18 PM

Hey all,

Dell just released a new BIOS for the M11x. Outstanding features include a lowered fan speed (removed 4600 RPM from EC fan table) and fixed the battery charge enable/disable bug.

You can find the download for the BIOS and the release notes HERE.

yea I have updated few days ago, overall not bad, could be a worse update for some people

the fan's behaviour has changed, it now run slower but start at a lower temperature than before! In short, on a scale of 0 to 10, 0=completely silent, 10 = extremely noisy
when idle/ lite web browsing for 10mins
A01= 0 for 4mins, 3 for 6mins
A03= 0 for 2mins, 2 for 8mins

If you live in a hot area the fan can be always on

I loaded A03 and no problems. Also noticed updates on several other drivers. Updated them all with no issues so far.
