So I was happily playing with my Dell which I modded to fit 70mm PATA SSDs, went to go online and found that my Dell 5530 doesn't appear to work anymore.  ops: I'm guessing a fried it with some static or some other such act of stupidity. However, now I'm looking at getting a new WWAN card, I was wondering if there are any others out there that I should consider instead of going straight for a replacement Dell 5530 (which look like costing £50 on ebay). Any thoughts, oh wise ones? I noticed somewhere on this site a card that has gsm, wi-fi and bluetooth all in one. If I was in your position it would free up the usb port from the bluetooth module, a pci slot from the wi-fi and you'd still have gsm. If it works I'll do it! |
