Default JOIKUSPOT or DOVADO 3G router - 04-23-2009, 04:06 PM

1)
Has anyone used JOIKUSPOT software to make a wifi hotspot around a DELL MINI using a usb GSM modem?

or,

2) Dovado UMR 2.0 3G router that takes the SIM card and then transmits the 3G around so that others can use it. We use it on construction site with VODAFONE Spain, but haven't tested it with DELL MINI.

I use ocasionally JOIKUSPOT on my n95, when away from a normal hotspot, works well with mini for me. Only limit is the network connection speed, much better in 3g areas (really need unlimited internet on contract to avoid running a bill), only other limit is battery on the n95.

Haven't tried JOIKUSPOT, but PdaNet is a great product. Much superior to SOCKS type connection JOIKUSPOT uses. Check out http://www.junefabrics.com/index.php
