You said you emailed the seller. Which seller? Do you have an email content along with part description # that the rest of us could use to contact. I'd be willing to try this out since I don't have the webcam or bt modules.

NOTE: Please realize that if you can not get the exact part does not mean you are out of luck. What I've done is provide the exact pinouts for the sim card. Traces on board: 7 1 4 2 5 3 6 Pins from SIM Connector: NA 1 5 2 6 3 7 According to the Sim Connector pdf : Trace Board Pin 1: VCC Trace Board Pin 4: Reserved NP on Pin 6 version Trace Board Pin 2: RST Reset Signal Trace Board Pin 5: GND Pwr signal and Gnd. Trace Board Pin 3: CLCK signal Trace Board Pin 6: VPP Programming Voltage So.... you could use this part from digikey. It does not line up exactly but the pin layout is correct. You will not have the first pin but it doesn't look like it's needed anyhow. http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSea ... -4062-1-ND

So are you saying that the pin socket that you got and used from Major League wasn't a perfect fit and you had to modify the pins? You said the board goes 7142536 but the sim card sockets go 152637(6-Pin) 15263748 (8-Pin, w/ Last 2 Not Used) so did you have to change anything to use that socket? I am just a little confused. System Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 @ 1.6GHz w/ 800MHz FSB, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 12.1" LED BrightView Display @ 1280x800, Corsair 128GB SSD, 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4550 Graphics, Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 WiFi Card, Qualcomm Gobi 2420 Mobile Broadband WWAN Card w/AT&T, HP Bluetooth 2.1 Module, Validity Finger Print Reader, HP Webcam O/S: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

There are a few spots interally that one could be put if it is small enough. For example I have an extra Sierra Wireless 8781 that I ripped out of a AT&T 881 USBConnect that I was interested in putting in my fiances computer because I got an extra PCIe header but no sim slot, I was just going to use a USB Sim card reader if anyone knew of any that would work for this purpose. I see many sim card readers listed for copying contacts, etc.. but none to use to read the actual card for usage of an aircard device, unless they will do this and it just isn't listed. I would be using Windows Vista with it if it matters that I put on my Mini. As far your pinout question. If you read the whitepapers of any sim connector that is push push if their pinout is labeled starting from left to right from a top view. 1 5 2 6 3 7 you should be fine. My part from Major League fit the bill with the additional first pin on the left that was used for card detecting. I don't suspect this is used at all to function but it aligns perfectly. As far as dimensions go you'll have to check yourself against what's in the whitepapers.

Other than a missing antenna does anyone see a reason why this would not work? |
