Not sure if this is the right forum. I just setup my Novatel MC950D USB modem with my mini. I am in Canada on the Fido network. I am using UMPC Ubuntu (8.10) distribution and it was very easy to setup. I simply went in my network and added a new connection in Edit Connection / Mobile Broadband. Fido was already there to select. I simply had to empty the username and password fields and then work around a quirk of the Novatel and "eject" the USB CDROM that showed in "Places" and my connection started automatically. I will figure out a way to do this with a script as it may be annoying to have to do this everytime.
I am now 100% mobile, looking forward to browsing the net on the bus! Yay!
