Default Looking for internal WWAN card recommendation/source - 12-08-2011, 08:33 PM

At work we're switching cellular/mobile data from Sprint to AT&T. Our project managers are getting USB devices, but as they break and/or loose them I want to replace them with internal cards.
Can anyone recommend a card that works with AT&T, a good source, and are WWAN available in 4G?
We use Dell Latitudes and they all already have the antennas for the cards, and project managers will have one less thing to carry while minimizing loss and breakage.

Thanks for any help!

Its relatively easy to just add a Dell 5530 3G modem to the laptops since you state they already have antennas installed. That is as long as there's also a mini pcie socket AND a sim card slot installed by dell in the Latitudes.

The 5530 modem's firmware can be updated to HSPA+ for AT&T (called 4G by AT&T) via updater on Dell's support page, that is if card isn't already updated to latest firmware.

Cheap source for cards is:

NEW Dell 5530 3G HSPA Mobile Broadband WWAN E6400 XX982

MINI 9: Jade Green, RunCore 64GB SSD, Hyper-X 2GB RAM, Dell 5530 WWAN Card, Dell 1505 WiFi Card, Bluetooth 2.1, 1.3MP Webcam, Leopard 10.5.8 NBI 8.0.3 Final, BIOS A05
