The WWAN card in the system is a Huaewi EM770J which is compatible with T-Mobile's 3G 1700 MHz (AWS Band 4) frequency used in the US. I have searched for the card alone, but haven't been able to find one for sale anywhere at this time. I even emailed Huaewi about purchasing 50 cards, but they will not sell card alone at this time. Looks like T-Mobile is taking all the production for now.

The stock Dell 5530/40 cards will connect to T-Mobile's network in the US, but only through the EDGE (1900 MHz) network. Not at 3G speeds.

If you do find a source for the card, please let me know.

Actually, it's already available on eBay, or at least a similar version of it:

After a little more reading, I realized that the only versions of these cards that work with T-mobile are the EM770J and EM770U which offer 1700 and 2100 UMTS speeds. They are not being sold on eBay unfortunately.
