Default Mini 10 - 3G Upgrade?!? - 08-08-2009, 10:48 PM

Hey Guys,

I have a Mini 9 now and have modified it with the SIM Card and PCIe header.

I was just wondering for people who currently have the Mini 10 (NOT The v Version) if it already has a SIM Card Slot soldiered on it or if I will have to add a SIM Card Slot myself? As well does it have a free PCIe Header or do I need to soldier one as well for the 3G PCIe card?

Thanks for your help. The reason I want to know is that I can order the necessary parts before the new Mini 10 arrives so I have them ready to go.

- Dan

Any answers or info about this anywhere? Have same equipment 10 not 10v, except is dual booted to Snow Leopard and XP and I have only 1Gb memory.
It sounds as though external USB connection may just be so much more convenient. What advantages for internal? J Vee

AEDan, where did you get a Mini9 PCIe Header and is there a guide anywhere on how to solder it to the Mini9?

I have a 1010, pretty bare, and supposedly "upgradeable" but no connectors/slots for anything other than the RAM/CPU card.
I can see all the pins in various locations for the different slots, but the plastic isn't there. Kills me they couldn't spend a few extra cents and put the connectors on.
