Default Anyone have any experience with 3connect SW? - 07-23-2009, 12:13 PM

Hi All,
I've got a hackintosh mini 9 with an internal 3g modem. My data provider here in the UK is Three. So far I'm fairly impressed with their network speed and the cost is pretty good (£15 a month for 3gb - no contract).

The package I got came with a Hauwei E156G USB modem, which of course I don't need. However, the 3connect SW is pretty cool, it shows signal strength regardless if your physically connected, shows data usage, and has an app that allows you to send/receive SMS. Unfortunately, the SW only works when the dongle is attached w/SIM.

Does anyone have experience with this setup? What I was wondering, as the software has drivers to recognize the USB modem, maybe that meant the driver could be changed/hacked to recognize the internal Dell modem?

Any advice appreciated...
