I know about the slot, but can I surf with the iPhone sim card's data plan? How do I setup the Ubuntu wireless software?

Cool Using iPhone Tethering for 3G Internet Access - 07-12-2009, 03:20 PM

If you've upgraded to 3.0 software for the iPhone you may now "Tether" the phone with your computer. help.BenM.at I believe is the URL where you may navigate with your iPhone's Safari browser and setup your AT&T info for tethering. Note: If you only have the original iPhone, then you will only get EDGE speeds. 3G and 3G S are recommended for tethering.

Dell Mini 10v / Ice Blue 1.6 GHz / 1 GB RAM / 200GB 7200 RPM SATA / 1.3 MP CAM / Mac OS X 10.5.7

I'm not interested in tethering. My Mini 9 has a built-in WAN card and a sim card. I want to remove the sim that came with it and use an iphone sim instead.

Yes. I've tried it with my (2.5G) iPhone sim. It works. The only caveat is that you would be violating your terms of service when you stick your iPhone sim into a dell mini, so ATT may charge you data fees if they detect the non-iPhone usage using an iPhone sim card. Proceed at your own risk.
